YOUR DREAM OPPORTUNITY

As the Senior Business Analyst, you’ll be responsible for ensuring our retail systems and processes effectively support business operations and customer outcomes. Reporting to the Digital Solutions Manager, you’ll work closely with stakeholders across stores, supply chain, head office, and technology teams to translate business needs into clear, practical, and high-quality technology solutions.

This is a hands-on, end-to-end role where you’ll influence how our POS, WMS, ERP, and merchandising platforms evolve - driving efficiency, data accuracy, and continuous improvement across the business.

GET EXCITED TO:

  • Lead end-to-end business analysis activities across retail, store operations, supply chain, and digital channels
  • Gather, analyse, and document business requirements for core retail systems including POS, WMS, ERP, and planning platforms
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and process-mapping sessions with stakeholders across stores, head office, and distribution centres
  • Translate business needs into clear user stories, functional and non-functional requirements, and acceptance criteria
  • Map current-state and future-state processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
  • Partner with technical teams to support solution design and ensure alignment with business and operational realities
  • Support system implementations, upgrades, and integrations across retail technology platforms
  • Develop and execute test plans, coordinate UAT, and validate solutions prior to deployment
  • Collaborate with vendors and third-party partners to clarify requirements, review deliverables, and ensure solution quality
  • Support change management activities including training materials, communications, and post-go-live support
  • Contribute to project planning, risk assessment, and prioritisation discussions
  • Maintain accurate documentation, process flows, and knowledge repositories
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying and addressing technical debt

THE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE YOU OFFER US

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in IT, including proven success as a Business Analyst for at least 3+ years within mid-sized retail organizations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading business analysis for the implementation or replacement of core retail systems, including WMS, ERP platforms, POS, and Merchandising/Planning solutions. Omnichannel projects are desirable.
  • In-depth understanding of retail operations, store processes, and POS environments, with a focus on improving efficiency and customer experience.
  • Track record of delivering IT projects in fast-paced, dynamic environments with cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality documentation.
  • Proficient in business process mapping and modelling using tools such as Microsoft Visio and Lucidchart.
  • Skilled in Agile delivery frameworks and MoSCoW prioritization techniques, and collaboration tools including Jira and Confluence.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement abilities, with the capacity to influence and align diverse teams.
  • Experience leading end-to-end business analysis across multiple projects while supporting BAU.
  • Adept at facilitating workshops, conducting stakeholder interviews, and defining future-state solutions through process mapping and requirements gathering.
  • Capable of producing comprehensive documentation including user stories, functional and non-functional specifications, business rules, schema mappings, and process flows.
  • Contributed to small-scale project delivery with opportunities to assume project management responsibilities.
  • Provide mentorship and oversight to peers, promoting consistency and adherence to best-practice standards.
  • Developed and executed test strategies, coordinated user acceptance testing (UAT), and ensured solutions met defined acceptance criteria.
  • Supported change management efforts including training development, communication planning, and post-implementation support.
  • Actively participated in project planning, risk assessment, and solution design to ensure alignment with business goals.

BEHAVIOURS & ATTRIBUTES

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
  • Collaborative and relationship-focused, with excellent stakeholder engagement skills
  • Results-driven, with the ability to prioritise and deliver to deadlines
  • Calm, adaptable, and resilient under pressure
  • Clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal
  • Proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
