YOUR DREAM OPPORTUNITY

An incredible opportunity exists for a Payroll Officer to join on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. As part of the People & Culture team, you will be responsible for end-to-end payroll and have experience working in an Award based industry with multiple locations in a mid-large size organisation. You are a subject matter expert in Australia / New Zealand related queries and payroll processing.

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the successful candidate will also be the first point of contact responding to queries in a timely manner.

Get excited to:

• Processing end to end fortnightly and weekly payroll for AU and NZ in a timely manner
• Analyse / validate time & attendance and payroll data, ensuring compliance with the Retail Award and legislation
• Supporting the Payroll Manager with the preparation, balancing and reconciliation of various statutory requirements as well as other payroll-associated reporting requirements
• Collaborate and communicate with internal stakeholders to resolve payroll related queries
• Demonstrating own initiative to investigate and assist the team to fix issues and participate in broader work initiative

ABOUT YOU

You have previous experience in payroll, accounts receivable or bookkeeping and are confident with Microsoft Excel and Micropay. You pride yourself on your natural ability to be organised and can multitask with pinnacle attention to detail.

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU CAN OFFER US

• A minimum of 2-years’ experience processing end to end payroll for Australia using Micropay
• Demonstrated experience working in a medium sized, faced-paced, multi-site retail business, supporting multiple stakeholders.
• Knowledge of relevant Retail Awards and Agreements applicable to the business
• Adept numeric skills and solid experience using MS Excel
• Experienced stakeholder engagement skills
• Demonstrated excellent customer focus, with a mature, action-orientated, and ‘can-do’ attitude
