YOUR DREAM OPPORTUNITY

Forever New is embarking on an exciting adventure to refresh the way we engage, unify, and develop our talented global team. We are on the hunt for a passionate, high-performing People Leader who will play a critical role in shaping the future of our iconic brand.

In this position, you will lead and collaborate with a team of like-minded individuals who will be responsible for delivering a unique and highly coveted experience across all aspects of the employee lifecycle.

Working closely with the broader People and Culture team, our ‘Experience and Capability’ stream design, deliver, and evaluate impactful and purposeful employment journey across our diverse retail, head office and warehouse network. This role will continue to build our internal capability, fostering an environment where our people can play to their strengths and perform at their best.

Reporting to the General Manager of People & Culture, this exciting role will be accountable for:

  • Developing and implementing ‘enterprise’ wide development and engagement programs, processes and systems which underpin business growth, team alignment and purposeful individual contribution.
  • Partnering with our Business Units/Support Functions to identify critical ‘future focussed’ capabilities, skills, and experience.
  • Optimising our ‘talent engine’ to ensure our development and succession foundations are delivering the talent required to support our ability to retain, empower and grow our own talent.
  • Embed a greater sense of connection amongst our team, further enhancing team culture, reward and recognition practices.
  • Identify practical and innovative solutions to continuously strengthen our engagement and retention practices.
  • Track and actively encourage team members progression through Forever New training and engagement frameworks – E.g., induction programs, service training, management training, compliance training, engagement survey’s, etc.
  • Identify training gaps to further evolve our current learning pathways.
  • Work with P&C and the Heads of Retail to develop an impactful training and engagement calendar.
  • Coordinate and/or facilitate in person and virtual training workshops for teams, stores and regions.
  • Identify and coach key SMEs in each market to support learning and mentoring opportunities.
  • Organise and coordinate engagement activities as per the national engagement calendar.
  • Undertake store visits to review training outcomes and determine further growth / engagement opportunities.

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU OFFER US

This role requires a practical focus, underpinned by an empowering and authentic leadership style. You will possess highly developed interpersonal and emotional intelligence skills and have a strong ability to implement cultural change.

You will possess:

  • First and foremost, experience and a love for Retail.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, organisational development, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience designing, delivering, and evaluating training, engagement and development programs.
  • Confident communicator with an engaging and interactive facilitation style.
  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to ignite passion, play and determination in others.
  • A keen eye for process improvements, with the drive to build and evolve the way we foster connection, growth, and alignment across our dispersed team.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Experience using Learning Management Systems
  • Familiarity with adult learning, engagement & retention principles, with the ability to apply them in practice.
  • Strong instructional design, delivery & evaluation skills
  • Ability to build honest, open and resilient relationships, working collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to work autonomously but also love collaborating as part of a team.
  • Creative, resourceful and pragmatic with a positive ‘can do’ and solution-focused attitude.
